Salvador Dominguez, Ph.D.
Research Associate
Dr. Salvador Dominguez joined AMTC in 2022 and is a research associate, providing research and evaluation support to deliver solutions in data management, program analysis, reporting, implementation, and evaluation. He is the lead AMTC researcher for the Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) program and has authored more than 40 program performance evaluations and trained more than 75 individuals across 18 SRAE client organizations on collecting and reporting performance measures entry/exit survey data. Dr. Dominguez manages the Alchemer data collection online survey system and provides technical assistance related to data collection and survey administration. In addition to his lead role in SRAE, he leads multiple projects funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Department of Education (DOE).
Having a strong technical, functional skill set, Dr. Dominguez contributes in the areas of technical and professional writing, data management, and analysis using statistical processing software such as SPSS and STATA across multiple programs at AMTC. Before joining AMTC, he conducted secondary data analysis on publicly available datasets for various research studies, and worked with an interdisciplinary research team on topics such as the effects of low-level lead exposure on children from urban and rural communities.
Dr. Dominguez earned his BS in Biological Sciences, Master of Public Health, and Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences from the University of Texas at El Paso. He holds a Graduate Certificate in Technical and Professional Writing and has received formal training in the protection of human subjects, biostatistics, epidemiology, and environmental science.
