Joshua Becker, MS

Writer and Editor

Joshua coordinates all aspects of AMTC’s bi-monthly newsletter, including writing, editing, and providing input into design. The newsletter reaches across multiple states and reaches a diverse group of stakeholders who are vested in social services programming. Joshua has worked with AMTC since 2015.

He is adept at many types of writing, including journalism, creative nonfiction, novels, and academic curriculum. Joshua has covered topics on business, medical issues, religion, recreational sports, family features, personal interest stories, and much more. Additionally, he has teaching and administrator licenses from the State of Wisconsin. Joshua is a full-time Spanish teacher in a suburban school district just outside the City of Milwaukee. He has served in this capacity for over fifteen years. At different periods throughout his tenure, Joshua has taught first through seventh grade at three schools in the same district. He innovates and implements curriculum that is aligned to state standards and engages his students through music, art, stories, poetry, and more. Joshua maintains a Spanish class website that links curriculum and additional resources so that students, parents, and community members can connect to what students learn throughout the school year. His writing pursuits stimulate his creativity so that his curriculum and teaching are more innovative and effective.

Joshua received a bachelor’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University in Elementary/Middle School Education, with a minor in Spanish. He also holds a master’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University in Educational Leadership.
