Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention and Family Strengthening Programs
Dr. Michael Floren joined AMTC in 2023 as a research and evaluation consultant for adolescent pregnancy prevention (APP) and family strengthening programs. In this role, he provides research and evaluation expertise to AMTC clients who manage federally-funded programs.
Dr. Floren is an Assistant Professor of Data Analytics at the University of North Alabama and Director of Research Services at Practical Statistics. He has been the Principal Investigator and provided research expertise and advisory support on federally-funded programs, including the completion of multiple evaluations. Dr. Floren has published more than 40 articles and publications, and has presented extensively in a variety of professional and academic settings. He has been recognized for his research achievements with the 2023 Faculty Research Award, Sanders College of Business and Technology, University of North Alabama.
Floren has a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Applied Statistics and Research Methods from the University of Northern Colorado. He also has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Arts in Math Education from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a member of the American Statistical Association, the American Evaluation Association, and the American Educational Research Association.
