Research and Evaluation Intern
In the fall of 2021, Zoe Hurdle joined AMTC and Associates as a graduate student and intern. A life-long resident of southeast Wisconsin, Hurdle was born and raised in Mequon. Her academic and professional endeavors have prepared her for success in the AMTC internship program.
During her undergraduate years, Hurdle had the opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary research in the Pediatric Neuromotor Laboratory conducting transcription and behavior coding of parent–child interaction, and presenting at UW—Milwaukee’s Spring 2020 Symposium. From 2018 to 2020, she was a member of the HRSA–funded, UW—Milwaukee Maternal, and Child Health Pipeline Program. As a member, she received training in health disparities and social/health policy. Additionally, she was involved in youth education and resilience programming in at-risk schools in Milwaukee, as well as program focus in infant mortality. Hurdle looks forward to gaining experience at AMTC in the evaluation of adolescent pregnancy prevention programs, data analysis and dissemination, and client engagement.
Currently a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health, Hurdle will be graduating in December 2022 with a Master’s in Public Health as well as a certificate in Maternal and Child Health. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications Sciences and Disorders at UW—Milwaukee in 2020.
