Research Associate

Dr. Sam Maurice is a researcher and school psychologist specializing in child and adolescent mental health, psychological assessment, academic intervention, and school- and district-wide education. At AMTC & Associates, Maurice works to ensure complete client satisfaction in research design, program implementation, and data analysis. As a research associate, Maurice actively collaborates with clients and provides support with technical writing, research methodology, program analysis, professional development, statistical methods, and reporting.

Maurice has experience planning, implementing, and evaluating various interventions and programs in the fields of education and psychology. He has authored or co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles, technical reports, and conference presentations and is a textbook contributor. Maurice has extensive experience with primary and secondary data analysis for various projects, including federally funded grants. Maurice is passionate about supporting youth and families, particularly through studying innovative treatments and programs for children’s mental health and education.

Maurice received his Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 2021. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bemidji State University and a Master of Science in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Maurice has taught statistics and psychological development courses at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists and the American Psychological Association.
